YOUTH-PARENT RELATIONSHIP:
It's a stale news that parents are the head of children. They cater for their needs both in cash, morals and the likes.
They teach them the ways of the good and show them the way to the light.
From the child stage, there's a gradual development to the youthful stage; parents tend to be hard on their siblings at this stage because of the 'ego of being of age' their youth siblings potray. It's a normal phenomenon I must confess.
But most youth nowadays find it difficult to manage this stage. 'We wanna explore' but mummy and daddy prove difficult because of their tender love for us.
Let me expose something to you now; You should as a matter of fact count yourself lucky you've got these difficult parent. The bitter truth is such parents know the menance being exposed to children at their youthful stage because they've been there before.
You should also have at the back of mind that such parents don't want history to repeat itself again; that's why they prove difficult.
Therefore, to manage this stage of youth-parental care, you need to develop these values:
1. Be open minded to them; feel free with them, discuss any issue with them in it's raw state. This gives room for corrections.
2. Be patient; there will be course for this attribute in youth-parent relationship if you don't wanna regret any false action of yours.
3. Be humble; humility paves way for tender interaction between you and them.
4. Be obedient; heed to corrections where necessary.
5. Be close to your maker; he gives you the wisdom to live safely at this stage in life.
Thanks for the time, God bless you.

LASSA FEVER, RATS & YOU
Lassa fever is an acute
viral haemorrhagic fever caused by the Lassa virus. It was first described in
1969 in the town of Lassa in Borno State, Nigeria in the Yedseram river valley
at the South end of Lake Chad.
Apart from Nigeria,
outbreaks of the disease have been observed in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea
and the Central African Republic.
The Primary host of the
Lassa virus is the Natal Multimammate mouse (Mastomys natalensis).
MODE
OF TRANSMISSION
- The virus can be transmitted by contact with faeces or urine of infected rats accessing food stuffs, edibles and water.
- Inhaling tiny particles of infected materials (aerosols).
- Exposure of broken skin or mucous membranes directly to infected materials.
- Through an infected person to person.
- Through airborne route or with direct contact with infected human blood, urine or semen.
- Through breast milk.
Further research by scientists
stipulates that it poses serious health risk for health workers.
According to Lassa
fever research statements, the virus is so potent that it will affect almost
every tissue in the human body. It starts with the mucosa, intestine, lungs and
urinary system and then progresses to the vascular system.
SYMPTOMS
·
Fever
·
Facial swellings
·
Muscle fatigue
·
Conjunctivitis
·
Mucosal bleeding
·
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, chest pain
and so on.
PREVENTION
1. Keep
rodents (rats) out of homes, water and food supplies.
2. Improve
and maintain effective personal and environmental hygiene.
3. Gloves,
masks, laboratory coats, goggles e.t.c. are advised to be used while in contact
with an infected person.
TREATMENT
Report
any case of infection to the health care centre nearest to you.
Also,
during an awareness rally by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide
Idris, he urged everyone to adhere to the preventive measures so as to prevent
an outbreak of the disease in the State.
…all about positive
influence.

REAL FACT
Time is an
evident factor that determines a whole lot in life. If you doubt, then answer
these few questions.
- Can you slaughter two birds at the same time?
- Can you type notes on two laptops at the same time?
- Can you drive two of your cars at the same time?
- Can you read two lecture notes at the same time?
- Can you write two screening tests at the same time?
- Can you read through two bank’s terms and conditions at the same time?
- Can you justify and defend the truth between two inferior customer claims?
- Can you run your tongue for hours without replenishing your strengths?
- Can you determine two people’s attitude without relating with them?
- Can you prove your point to an angered man in seconds?
- Can you live your life without facing challenges?
- Can you at the same time buckle and tighten up the lace on the pair of shoe you are wearing now?
- Can you charge and exhaust your phone battery at the same time?
- Can you drink chilled water continuously without taking a break?
- Do you think you can ever go scot free after a ‘clean deal’ with the devil?
This life,
time tells it all. It is either you take time patiently or you lose time
roughly.
Circumstances
may arise, but time tells it all.
When good
tidings come, it’s all about time.
Even before
a patient dog eat the fattest bone, it would have served time.
Time, Time,
Time!!!
Expect
more…
